Keynote Speaker

General Manager and Chief Executive Officer

California's historic drought forced residents, businesses and organizations to do things differently, to look at things differently. Going forward, how will we adapt to 'the new normal'?

Join us on Thursday, March 30 at the Great Wolf Lodge in Garden Grove for a discussion with Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD) General Manager and Chief Executive Officer, Jeffrey Kightlinger, who leads the largest water provider in the nation. Mr. Kightlinger will discuss the drought, pending state regulations and what must be done for California to achieve a sustainable water supply into the future.

The location for our dinner is also part of the lesson: The Great Wolf Lodge is an indoor water park, hotel and collection of restaurants that opened during the height of the drought. Great Wolf, however, sets the industry standard for green initiatives and conservation. Great Wolf Lodge recirculates most of the water in the entire resort, beginning with guest linen recycling, low-flow showers, toilets and faucets, waterless urinals and the best pool filtration systems in the world. In the water park, the Great Wolf Lodge filtration systems use 80 to 90 percent less water than traditional filters. The system is one of the worlds most advanced and effective, allowing recovery and recirculation of most of the water used in the water park. Even the humidity and temperature in the park is controlled to help prevent water loss through evaporation.

I hope you can join us March 30 for an engaging discussion with a leader in the water industry, at a new venue that has proven to be a leader in the hospitality and water park industry as well.
